Constituent Services

Being a legislator is more than writing legislation and voting for bills, it's about listening to the thoughts, concerns and ideas of people like you who live and work alongside me in the 35th district. It's also about helping constituents when they have an issue and don't know where to turn. If you have a question about your state government or need some assistance, please contact me. Here are a few of the ways we might be able to help:

Kansas and U.S. Flags flown over the Capitol may be ordered online. There is a cost associated with this service. More information on ordering a flag.

Guided tours of the Capitolare available at designated times Monday through Friday or self-guided tours are always an option during business hours. For tour times, group tour arrangements or additional information, contact the tour coordinator at 785-296-3966.

Paging is a great opportunity for middle school and high school students to experience the legislative process and to meet other young people from across the state. Contact my office for help applying to become a page in the Kansas Legislature.

Want Jay to speak at your meeting? Although my schedule can be a bit hectic while the Legislature is in session, I would be happy to work with you to schedule time to meet with your group. Contact me to schedule an engagement.

Problems with a State Agency? If you are having difficulties resolving an issue with a state agency, please contact me. I can, in some situations, assist you in working with government agencies. Contact my office for help.

The legislature can issue a formal citation in some circumstances to commend someone who has gone above and beyond in service to their community or achieved important milestones in their lives. Contact my office for help with a Legislative Citation.
